Intermediate Group Selection-Inter MPC Prospects

Selecting a group in intermediate

When joining in the intermediate the student has to select to study further in the engineering, medicine or in the agriculture.  When we have the state syllabus that is studied by most, many of them go with

  • MPC (mathematics, physics, chemistry)
  • BiPC (botany, zoology, physics, chemistry)
  • CEC (civics, economics, commerce)
  • MEC (mathematics, economics, commerce)
  • HEC (history, economics, civics)

MPC

In the state of Andhra Pradesh many of the students are giving importance to mathematics, physics, chemistry (MPC).  If the student shows interest to join in the engineering course then they should join in the MPC combination group in intermediate.  So in the future this would be foundation stone to shine in any of the branches such as civil, electronics, metallurgy, and computers.  With MPC in intermediate they can also write IIT-JEE, AIEEE, EAMCET, BITSAT etc the admission for the prestigious engineering colleges like IIT, BITS PILANI and can study the engineering course.  The students with MPC in intermediate can also join in the NDA defense service.  After finishing engineering can join in the job or else can attempt GATE and join in M.Tech., CAT and join in IIM and do MBA with GMAT  can join in the business schools and study the MBA course and so can join in important post in the multinational companies.  If engineering seat is not achieved or if not interested in joining engineering then there is always an option of doing B.Sc. and completing the B.Sc. with mathematics, physics, chemistry, computers, electronics and then one can get computer job after finishing B.Sc.  One can do higher studies by writing competitive exams like GATE, NET, JAM etc.  If one is interested in teaching then one can do B.Ed. course and can apply for STG job in government services.  The students who have taken MPC in intermediate can do five year integrated course in M.Sc. and after that can do P.hD. and can become professor or research scholar.  There are also various courses available for MPC students which are fashion technology, law, CA, ICWA, CS etc.  After finishing degree, can attempt civil, groups, bank jobs, railway jobs and many other private and public sector jobs.

The options that are available only for MPC students

  • Engineering (EAMCET, IIT-JEE, AIEEE,BITSAT…)
  • MCA
  • The navy and air force jobs that would be made available through NDA
  • Various technical jobs in the defense
  • SCRA (mechanical engineering in railway)

BiPC

If the student is interested in pursuing medicine and agriculture study then should join in biology, physics, and chemistry group.  If it is not possible to join in medicine, agriculture or dentistry group then it would be better option to join in B.Sc. and not only that BiPC students have the option of doing B.Pharmacy, D.Pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, and paramedical courses and good jobs could be achieved.  In degree, biotechnology, microbiology, genetics, biochemistry research courses are joined and then develop career accordingly.  After finishing M.Sc., P.hD., can join in teaching or research field and there are plenty of opportunities for this and one can do research in the foreign countries also.

The courses that are available only for BiPC students

  • Medicine (allopathy, ayurrveda, homeo, unani, dentistry )agriculture courses
  • B.Sc. nursing, paramedical courses
  • Physiotherapy
  • Medical lab technology (MLY)

The benefit from the science group:

After finishing 10th standard and taken science group in intermediate and if not interested then there is a chance to commerce or arts group in degree but if one has taken arts or commerce group in intermediate then there is no chance of getting to science group at the degree level.  If the science group student cannot do engineering, medicine or agriculture also there are different alternatives.  For example, one can also join in the demand courses like computer science or microbiology.  The colleges are also offering with B.Sc. combination the science students can also take up physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing, computers, business administration, hotel management, tourism management professional courses.  After finishing 10 plus 2 course science students can go for fashion technology, packaging, industrial design, aircraft maintenance engineering, and other job oriented computer courses.  The science students have amore of study and job opportunities but if the student does not have interest in the subject then two years of valuable time and energy are wasted so the students should think before deciding on the group of the intermediate.
